Before I started network marketing I was working all hours. I would spend all day rushing around after my children, get them to bed, have dinner and then start working. Sometimes to meet deadlines I had to sacrifice sleep as there were just not enough hours in the day. When you are earning through a service based job you are capped by how many hours you can work. The less hours you work, the less money you earn. I wanted a life of financial freedom, but I also wanted time to enjoy life. I didn’t want to have to take my laptop with me on every family holiday, working in the evenings rather than spending quality time with my partner just so I didn’t fall too far behind whilst we were away. What is the point of working hard to pay for nice holidays if you don’t have the time to appreciate going away? I got to the point where I resented going on holiday because if I gave myself a break I had to work twice as hard when I came home to make up for it. I was stressed and at the point of burn out but even then I did not stop. When you are self employed if you don’t work you don’t get paid and in my case the deadlines had to be met no matter what. I felt like I was in a never ending cycle of despair!

I now still spend all day rushing around after my children but I am able to create content at the same time. By taking photos and videos of my children I am not only creating content to use to my advantage, but I am also capturing their childhood in picture form - something I had not prioritised before. As I can work from my phone if I get a spare 5 minutes I can put out a post wherever I am, be that sitting in the car waiting for the girls to wake up from a nap, or sitting waiting for the older two to get changed after their swimming lesson. I have freed up my evenings to spend more time with my husband and I am now looking forward to our next holiday (computer free!)
