Even through a year of adversity and challenges we have come so far.......

1 Year Anniversary 🥳

It has been several months since I last updated on Kev.

It has been a year since the fall that changed all of our lives in so many ways.

I never could have imagined the journey that we would all go on or that I would find the strength to carry our family forward to where we are now, and how now, that is a good place to be. It is not perfect, and not without its struggles but it is good all the same (I funnily enough, would not change it)

We remind ourselves that not only are we blessed that Kev is alive but that he is also walking, having said that he lives with pain all day every day and that in itself causes problems, health problems and mental health struggles.
We learned very quickly who was there to support us. Some of those people were a surprise to us and have continued to be a tower of strength even in our trickiest of times and for that we are ever thankful.

We finally learned what may have been part of the reason for Kev's fall, recently while addressing leaks from Erin's ceiling amid the recent heavy rain, a roofer discovered a weakened spot in the roof, it seems that was where Kev quite possibly put his foot through causing him to fall.
What now?

Kev is on a new part of this journey, after seeking out further medical help due to ongoing issues, is awaiting an appointment for an MRI on his brain.

In the meantime we carry on, doing the very best that we can, supporting Kev as much as we can on his road to recovery, we don't know how it will pan out, we take each day at a time, celebrate the small wins as they arise and keep moving forward.

A huge shout out to Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance without their help I don't think we would have Kev with us. 🚁
