Best Apps For Budgeting Mums

We all love an app! Nowadays with smart phones, there is an app for everything! But there are many apps that help with budgeting.

As a busy mum, keeping track of your finances can be challenging, especially when you have 100 other things you have to do and remember.

There are various ways that we can budget. I love good old fashioned pen and paper myself. My Mum used to use a little book. Some people have a spreadsheet but there are also apps. In the world where everything is done on a Smartphone or laptop and other devices, the good old fashioned pen and paper method is fast becoming forgotten.

I have done a bit of research to find some good budgeting apps to use. These are based for a UK based person, however, take a look as they may be available in your area also.

Here are the best budgeting apps for busy mums in the UK and my thoughts on them.

Money Dashboard: Money Dashboard is a free app that allows you to track all your accounts, including bank accounts, credit cards, and investments, in one place. It automatically puts into categories your spending and shows you your spending habits to help you make better decisions when it comes to your money. Understanding your spending habits is key to good budgeting.

Emma: Emma helps you track your spending and manage your bills. It also provides you with a weekly spending report and alerts you when you're about to go over your budget. This one seems quite simple to use and the alerts are always good to keep us in control even more.

Yolt: Yolt lets you view your accounts in one place, categorises your spending, and sets budgets. It also provides you with insights into your spending habits and helps you find better deals on bills and subscriptions. Now finding better deals on your bills is always a must in my opinions. Remember if you would like to take a look at saving money on your bills and having them all in one place, which helps budgeting, then give me a shout.

Plum: Plum is a savings app that helps you save money automatically by analysing your spending habits and calculating how much you can afford to save. It also invests your savings in a portfolio of stocks and shares to help you earn more on your money. I am not a big advocate of stocks and shares simply because I don't know enough about them. If it is something you are interested in investing in, then make sure you do your research. I like the idea of having money saved automatically and it working it out for you.

Cleo: Cleo is an AI-powered app that helps you manage your finances by tracking your spending, setting budgets, and sending you personalised financial advice. You can also use it to save money and invest in cryptocurrencies. Again, I am not an advocate for Crypto and tend to stay away from such things, however, AI will be becoming more and more used in the years to come. I like the fact it give personalised advice, but again, as it is AI generated, make sure you do a bit of fact finding yourself to make sure the information is correct for you.

With the help of these budgeting apps, you can manage your finances more effectively and achieve your financial goals. Try them out and see which one works best for you!

I would love to hear if you have found other budgeting apps that have been working for you! Feel free to leave a comment with what you have found.

As always, feel free to take a look at my store and how I can help you save money on your bills and also earn an extra income helping others.
