This eudemonic (long-term/background) Happiness involves identifying and pursuing values and goals that align with your authentic self. Whether through work, relationships, or personal pursuits, finding meaning provides a deeper sense of fulfilment and contributes to overall life satisfaction.
Accomplishment: Setting and achieving meaningful goals contributes to a sense of accomplishment, another vital component of flourishing. This involves not only pursuing personal goals but also recognizing and celebrating achievements along the way. Goal-setting provides direction and motivation, fostering a positive outlook on the future. This doesn't have to be the stuffy board office style of goal setting it could be anything from visualization to accountability support with friends or a coach.
Flourishing also includes our physical health and movement in the later models and how important it is to daily well-being to move in whatever way feels good to us and connect with our physical bodies! By cultivating these elements in our lives, we can strive not only for happiness but for a more profound sense of well-being and fulfilment.
