How to keep yourself calm during the most exciting time of your life, planning your Wedding!

I'm engaged!!!! Now the stress begins .....

WRONG!!!!

The Joys of Being Newly Engaged: Take a Moment to Celebrate

Planning a Wedding does not have to be stressful! Yes there are lots of elements to piece together like a jigsaw puzzle and it may feel like just because you've said those magical words everyone has added an extra couple of £00s to their prices and there is a good reason!

Weddings compared to a Birthday party for instance have so much more involved. More people and longer hours and I'm afraid to say that doesn't come for Free, other than on a rare occasions when a supplier may just simply want to help

ME! I'm that supplier who has coordinated a full wedding for FREE! - a story for another day

So, back to the beginning, you've got engaged and you want to get started but you don't know where to begin. Aunt Sally is giving ideas and must haves left right and centre (sorry if your aunt is called Sally, really must find a new name for this scenario)

STOP!!!

I want you to breathe and first of all enjoy being engaged for at least a couple of months! After all this is as big as the wedding itself. Your partner, regardless of how long you have been together has decided they want to spend the rest of their life with you!!!!

Enjoy that moment.

Then once you're ready, of course if you want to get started straight away crack on, but I really do recommend revelling in that newly engaged magic

So, we've revelled in the magic and now we want to put our 5 year old dreams into reality

What do I do?

Firstly, you're going to need to work out a budget!

Easiest way is to look at all your non negotiables - rent/mortgage etc, all those adult things that have to be paid every month no matter what along with how much money do you have coming in each month.

Is there anyone in your family likely to pay for anything and if so, how much?
How much disposable funds do you have whilst not feeling you have to live on beans on toast until the big day

Great, we've got our budget! Now we can look for venues, pick a date and then honestly the rest falls into place as most suppliers can't book you as a couple without your date!

Honestly its a breeze from there. Once you got your date, I recommend then booking photographer, followed by cake, flowers, venue decor, entertainment, dress etc

It is surprising how it does all come together. After all there are on average there are 275,000 weddings a year in the UK, so it can't be all that bad

If you're in the Midlands and you're really not loving the whole wedding planning process and wish someone else could help you or just take over it all, then as you may have guessed I am your fairy godmother here to spread some magic and be your jigsaw piece, simply book your FREE consult here - https://calendly.com/bigoccasionevents/30min

Enjoy your engagement and happy planning
