What is the point in wax melts?
Did you know that the first thing a person notices when walking into a room is the smell?
Think about it. How many times have you walked into a hotel lobby and thought “oh wow that smells amazing” or even possibly the opposite?
Did you also know that scents can stimulate the release of neurotransmitters such as serotonin and endorphins, which can create the feeling of happiness and relaxation. They can also trigger memories. The sense of smell is specific, which explains how our memories from smell can be so precise.
Do you have a memory triggered by smell? For me it’s a certain brand of soap that my late grandad used. It takes me back to my childhood sitting on his knee listening to his crazy stories about giant worms in the garden.
So what does this have to do with wax melts?
First of all lets look at what a wax melt is.
A wax melt is a piece of wax infused with a fragrance that when melted on either an electric or tea light wax warmer, releases the most beautiful aromas that fill your home.
Wax melts are a brilliant way to personalise and create an atmosphere suited to you.
The beauty of wax melts is that they are available in so many different fragrances and they are able to be changed depending on mood and need.

Sea Shells – the perfect accompaniment to a long hot soak in the bath. Very relaxing and not overpowering.

So you see there is very much a point to wax melts. From mood lifting and relaxing to just straight out because that’s the fragrance you like. It’s wonderful to be able to change your fragrance depending on your mood and I am very much a mood burner.
