With a mission of building other organisations and getting them into the press, Devon-based Natalie Trice has received her own summer business boost from retail entrepreneur Theo Paphitis.

Natalie, founder of Natalie Trice Publicity, offers fractional (part-time) senior PR and comms support and regularly tagged Theo about her growing business during ‘Small Business Sunday’, highlighting what she does and how working for herself gives her the flexibility she needs to balance all the commitments in her life.

Last week, after months of trying, Natalie stopped mid-dog walk to save a baby hedgehog only to spot the magic notification that Theo had tagged her on Instagram. As one of his six weekly winners, his half a million Instagram followers got a glimpse into Natalie’s business, which also signalled a place inside his much-coveted small business community.

The weekly initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, now has over 4,000 #SBS winners and supports small businesses in the UK. Natalie is now part of this thriving community and can benefit from events that are increasingly popular and vital during these challenging times.

Natalie stated, “With nearly three decades of experience, becoming a part of the #SBS community is an incredible opportunity to expand my business while empowering others to scale theirs. Theo and his team offer invaluable networking events, business growth resources, and online connections, all of which are crucial for small business owners like me who are navigating the current challenging market. Along with learning from Theo and his team, as well as other winners, I hope to contribute to the wider business community by sharing my PR and communications expertise, helping to shine a light on who they are and what they do.”

Small business champion and Ryman Stationery, Robert Dyas, and Boux Avenue Chairman, Theo Paphitis, added, “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK. My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings. The website will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen, and I wish Natalie and her business every success.”

Anyone looking for a re‐tweet or re-post from Theo should post about their business on Sunday between 5 PM and 7.30 PM and include the hashtag #SBS. Six lucky businesses are re‐tweeted every Monday at 8 PM and then invited to enter their profile on the new website, attend the annual #SBS networking event, and take advantage of the networking opportunities.
