What are five things about you that people who are new to you may not know? - Karen
- I used to be bilingual until I started school at 5. Kids weren't encouraged the way they are now, so I had to learn English (I only knew a few words) or I would fall behind. My mum switched from Polish to English at home. Sadly, now my Polish is very limited - I really need to sort that out.
- Up until just over two years ago, I was a stay at home mum even though my kids were both in senior school. I had the freedom to write when I wanted. But I needed to go back to work, so I work full stime at an opticians and have to fit writing in when I'm not too tired. While I moan about having to leave the house in all weathers and being tired all the time, I actually enjoy my day job.
- While I am very outgoing and am naturally pretty loud, I love having time to myself when I feel like I'm peopled out. This is when I either read or binge watch something on TV.
- My happy place is at a gig. Live music soothes my soul and I love being surrounded by people who love music as much as I do.
- If I could live anywhere, I would move to either Canada or New Zealand. In fact, Himself and I looked into how much it would cost to move to Canada when we both retire. However, my best friend told me I can't leave the country as we live too far apart as it is.
Tell us more about you and what you like - Georgina.
I should really have answered this one in the first week haha, but here goes. Be prepared to be bored to death lol.
As an army brat (dad was in the Irish Guards), I moved around a lot as a kid which helped me not be shy and learn how to talk to people whether I know them or not - most people wish I would have stayed quiet at times. Soz lol.
When I'm not ignoring the family, I'm usually writing, pretending to write, reading, napping, or bingewatching something. It keeps me busy and out of trouble when I'm not on my best behaviour at the day job.
I tend to get obsessive over things such as books/series, tv shows, movies and music. I will talk your ear off about them until you give in and like them too. In fact, my Twilight phase introduced me to my best friend, and let's be real. I wouldn't be without her.
I'm pretty boring to be honest, so there isn't much more for me to say - plus I hate talking/writing about myself lol. If you want to know more or get a better insight into my life, follow me over on my social media. I'm very open about most things over there.
