Do these four things for a robust reading culture

A thriving reading culture is essential, whether at home or in school, and it hinges on four key elements. With the holiday season ending soon, now is the perfect time to focus on these aspects, especially the importance of a rich collection of reading materials. At Happier Every Chapter,

A robust reading culture whether at home or at school requires these 4 features:

1. Independent reading time on a daily basis
2. A carefully curated stock of reading materials (books, magazines, jokes, poetry etc)
3. Book centred conversations whether led by the parent, teacher or child
4. Regular read aloud opportunities by the responsible adult

With the holidays about to be over in 2 weeks, it’s worth having this reminder.

Whilst #1, 3 and 4 are key, they wouldn’t be a thing were it not for #2.

This is where we proudly come in.

Whether it’s by hosting stalls at education or corporate events, curating books to align to school topics / curriculum, shipping 100s of books to schools, packing monthly subscriptions or sourcing reads for book clubs, you best believe no ball is dropped in the process
