A Little about Me x

Hi I am Judith I started The Grey Door in 2020, and I am so happy I did. I have met so many wonderful people, fabulous customers and made amazing friends.

I am a Mum and a Grandma to a little 4year old. I am a fully trained assessor, Beauty Therapist, Aromatherapist, and web designer amongst many other things.

I am also a leader for our local Mums In Business Int. Networking Group Preston & Chorley. I love to help and support others in their businesses, working together to support each other in business is fabulous.

About 4 years ago I got hit with Rheumatoid a very debilitating condition, I just woke up one morning and I could not move, so scary for me as I have always been a very active and healthy person, walking, swimming, gym classes etc and I have always given my all to any work I have done.

I didn’t start because of lockdown I started because of my RA, I knew I couldn’t continue driving so much up and down the country as I was at that time.

My why? I love everything about my home but I was really fed up of the cheap products and the sooo expensive ones I needed to find middle ground. So The Grey Door was born.

I love to find items you don’t always see, at great prices. My Group Community always get the first pickings of these so to speak in my Private Group The Grey Door Exclusive Club - Beautiful Home Accessories & The Grey Door Exclusive Club - Beautiful Home Accessories & Gifts

I also create lots of bespoke gift boxes and I really do love doing this for customers as I work to their budget. I never try to oversell I follow the brief.

I am also a true Aromatherapist and I just love Essential Oils even though I cannot do the physical treatments anymore I can create fabulous blends. One of my blends I think I created over 25 years ago and everyone tells me the aroma is amazing and smells like a spa.

I was encouraged to developed my brand Mai Joie Botanicals to bring you the purity of essential oils in a synergistic way to bring the best to you. As an Aromatherapist I will not advise you on anything which is against the guidelines of our industry but I will try to help you with the ways you can use to get the most out of your blends.

I also have matching Mai Joie Pure Botanical Salts which are specifically infused with 8 different blends to choose from, this will add an even more fabulous experience for you. I plan to develop more in the Mai Joie range so watch this space x
