I'm going to be honest...
Today, I'm really NOT feeling like doing the do.
I didn't want to wake up at 5h30
I didn't want to prep for my counseling session later
Hell, I don't even want to go to my session later
I didn't want to reach out and check-in with my practitioners this morning...
But I did.
I don't want to get dressed and play with my daughter
I don't want to make lunch.
I don't want to paint 20+ hairclips
I don't want to put myself in rooms that'll help me grow
But I will.
I want to lay in bed and nurse my tiredness.
I want to relax on the couch and nurse the acid reflex I've had since the middle of the night.
I want to do anything that takes me away from my schedule today.
But I won't.
Yes, I'll take care of my body and yes, I'll probably collapse once I've put my daughter to bed tonight, but I'll do the do today even when I don't want to.
Why?
Because my actions align with my vision.
Working on my business gives me fulfillment and gets me closer to my goals. Every day I am motivated to help people grow, expand, and thrive.
Attending my counseling sessions aids in my mental and emotional stability. This is an act of self-love and self-care. Me taking a stand for me.
Playing with my daughter gives me a warmth that only she can provide, builds our relationship, and gives me time to be present with her.
Making lunch is an act of service I do for both my daughter and husband and is a way of me telling them that I love them.
Painting is an escape for me. When I paint nothing else matters except the next stroke and this brings me peace.
There will be days when you absolutely don't want to do the do.
Ensure they are in alignment with your goals.
And then do them anyway.
