The mission of this book is to change the probabilities and the stats. I want far more than 20 percent of business selling successfully. These businesses are the lifeblood of our country. After all, American small businesses are the largest employer in the U.S.

We need to get our mindset in alignment about what our busi- ness actually means to us, emotionally and financially. Selling your business will most likely be the largest liquidity event in your life. It’s really important that you get it right. We need to change the paradigm of what it means to sell successfully. It can be done.
