Elevate Your Holiday Season with Our Ultimate Christmas Planner!

I LOVE Christmas so wanted to share some top tips for planning Christmas and share with you my handy planner to help you get organised.

1. Start Planning Early.

Begin your Christmas planning well in advance. It pays to be organised. My Christmas planner helps you stay organised throughout the entire holiday season with all its different sections it allows you to break your Christmas planning into easy to think about bite size pieces. 

2. Set a Budget.

Emphasise the importance of setting a budget for gifts, decorations, and food. My planner gives space to record your budget and how much you've spent as you go along. If you're like my and buy gifts throughout the year this planner is really good for budgeting what you've spent on who and keep track of those gifts you've brought and hidden throughout the year.

3. Create a Christmas To-Do List.

Making a to-do list of tasks like gift shopping, decorating, and meal preparation is a great way of keeping track of all the things you need to do and can help stop any overwhelm. My planner offers pages of to-do lists to help you create your magical moments. Remember to-do lists don't need to be endless they just need to keep you on track. 

4. Gift Planning.

The great thing about gift planning is you then have a record of all the things you've brought people in previous years, which if you've got a big family like me can be a godsend and help you not to buy the same gift twice! My planner has a dedicated section for gift ideas, helping you with your gift tracking. I'd encourage users to jot down gift ideas for each person on their list.

5. Festive Meal Planning.

I love meal planning, it helps with shopping lists, budgeting, prep time, and staying healthy. Okay so at Christmas I think we all indulge in a little more than normal but it's Christmas! In your planner you can create not only your Christmas dinner menu but any other days over the festive period you might need to cater for. Are family joining you for New Years? Do you have any family traditions such as Christmas Eve or Boxing Day? On Christmas Eve we always go to my husbands aunts for mince pies and a cuppa (I don't like hot chocolate believe it or not!). Any events like this you can plan to take the pressure off. Remember, planning also means you can delegate! Plan your recipes, grocery lists, and a cooking schedule.

6. Decorations and Themes.

Planning your decorations might seem over the top to some but others might see it as perfectly normal. Planning can help you choose a theme for your holiday decor. I decorate all the rooms in my house and turn it into a grotto for the children. Our living room is the traditional green, red and gold colours, a 6 foot tree and Holly garland on the fireplace, whilst our hallway is 'Winter Wonderland' of white, silver and the blue/green decorations with a pencil snow tree and a polar bear sitting watch. Over the years I've planned and trained the family to pack them up in boxes clearly labelled with each room. It makes planning and sorting so much easier- not to mention finding it all in the garage each year. 

7. Party Planning.

If you are hosting parties, my planner can include space for guest lists, RSVPs, and party menus to help you stay on track.

8. Time Management.

I cannot stress enough how important time management is during the busy holiday season. By planning your time you can help yourself schedule your tasks and events effectively.

9. Family Traditions.

We're big on Christmas traditions in our house, many have been passed down from when I was a child. A planner can give you a special place to include your favorite holiday traditions, such as watching specific movies or baking cookies together or maybe you need to plan the contents of the Christmas Eve box?

10. Personalisation.

Planning, especially Christmas planning isn't a 'one size fits all' type of activity. You're possibly reading this a skilled planner who knows what works for them, or you might be new to planning or a bit of a 'wing it' type of person looking to explore options. I'm not going to tell you how to plan here, I don't know you (yet) so that would be madness! What I would say is embrace it and do what feels right for you. If you're creative get creative in your planner, use colours and washi tape but if you're a bullet point, simple lists kind of person go with your planner like that. My Planners are designed to suit individual preferences, making it a unique and valuable tool to the owner. 

11. Digital or Physical.

There's many arguments over whether people need a digital planner or paper planner. Whilst I love my online calendar I'm a paper planner at heart and would be lost without mine. Of course some people have both and use it hand in hand.
