Would you milk a chicken?
You’re probably thinking: Of course not! what kind of a question is that?!
So let me rephrase that question for you:
Why would you waste your time and energy trying to change someone?
More importantly: why would you put yourself through that disappointment and frustration time and time again?
If you’re expecting someone to behave differently towards you and you’ve communicated it clearly multiple times, isn’t it time to move on from that?
Is it in your best interest to keep expecting them to behave differently?
If the last 635 scenarios have been the same, 634 isn’t really going to be any different is it?
So what can YOU do DIFFERENTLY to change things for the better for YOU?
If you don’t want to keep getting disappointed that your chicken is laying eggs instead of producing milk that is.

As the world celebrates the expression of love, remember that the most important person to express love to is YOURSELF.
That’s easier said than done for most of us though, especially if you grew up believing you’re not worthy of it.
So, if you’re struggling to love yourself let me tell you this:
there is no certain criteria or checklist required to love yourself.
And you, most certainly, do NOT need to pass a “worthiness” test.
All you need is to CHOOSE to love yourself.
Because choosing to love yourself has far more rewards than choosing not to.
I had some much needed me-time today.
