Xmas is just around the corner and with things being financially tight for most, Xmas doesn’t have to cost a fortune!
Below are 10 ideas that will save you money!!
Shopping at Pound Land or any pound shop doesn’t mean your a tight a**, it means your savvy and there are some great things in there!
This is something we did for my daughter to give her Daddy for his birthday and she loved doing it too!
Have a set amount to spend then buy things that person would USE and also things they would ENJOY. So for example, deodorant, shower gel, hair clips, hair care, fudge, crisps, sweets.
You get the idea.
Scrap the turkey
Consider not having a turkey for dinner, choose an alternative meat.
Turkey can be expensive and there’s no rule saying you have to have turkey so why not grab a large chicken or some beef.
You’ll avoid the high price mark up and Xmas dinner is just another roast right!
Not going to see someone until the new year, grab their gift after Xmas! Make use of the sales that usually hit the shops come Boxing Day.
Make use of the discounts! Plus gift wrap and cards are usually reduced so stock up for the coming year!
Make your own gifts!
Get creative! Jump on to You Tube and Pintrest for some festive inspiration for homemade gifts.
Try making your own homemade exfoliating body scrub using sugar and essential oils, bake festive cookies to hand out in batches, or if your a crafter, get crafting
Homemade gifts mean so much more too.
Make your own gift wrap and decorations!
Get the children involved as they will love the creativity of designing their own gift wrap, and you can decide on your very own theme, giving you more fun and freedom than the generic wrapping paper.

Hunt for vouchers
Always be on the lookout for vouchers. You’ll find them in magazines, booklets, online and on shops. Sign up for sites like Groupon, Voucher codes and Wowcher.
Starting early now may be a tad late but bear it in mind for next year!
Start early and pick up the pre-Christmas bargains - particularly on drinks, sweets, and snacks where you’ll find they are buy 2 for £x.
This will save last-minute panic buying when you inevitably spend too much on food you won't eat. Just make sure you don’t eat it all before Xmas
Share the load and the cost
Having friends and family round for dinner? Ask them to bring something with them!
One can bring a starter and dessert or even an item for the main course. Maybe you could ask them to bring some crackers or drinks.
This will help spread the cost but also take off some of the load to ensure everything and everyone is catered for.
Change up all your loose coins
Have a good rummage around your home and change up that loose change.
Did you know you could find more then £50 in change just laying around.
Many supermarkets have machines where it’ll count the money super quick for you.
