Biden vs. Trump: A Debate Showdown Set to Reshape the Reelection Campaign
It has been recently announced that Joe Biden and Donald Trump will be debating. This will be an interesting component of the reelection campaign for Biden. So far, Biden has received special treatment, including being babied throughout his entire term in office, never facing tough questions about his continuing failures.
Debate Schedule and Conditions
The debates between Biden and Trump will occur on June 27 and September 10. In response to Trump’s challenge to debate anytime, anywhere, Biden released a video saying, “Make my day.” However, the Biden campaign has set strict conditions for these debates:
- No Audience: The debate must take place in a televised studio with just the candidates and the moderator present.
- No Third-Party Candidates: Excluding Robert Kennedy Junior and any third-party candidate, the debate should be one-on-one to allow voters to compare the only two candidates with a statistical chance of winning the Electoral College.
- Limited News Outlets: Only networks like CNN, ABC, CBS, or Telemundo can host the debates. Notably, Fox News has been excluded.
- Microphone Control: Candidate microphones must be muted after time expires to promote orderly proceedings.
Curiously, Fox News reported on these restrictions and noted their exclusion from hosting the debate. Presumably, Biden’s team thought Trump wouldn’t agree to these stringent conditions. Much to their dismay, Trump accepted, with CNN set to host the first debate.
Trump’s Response
Trump is quoted as saying, “I am ready and willing to debate crooked Joe at the two proposed times in June and September. I would strongly recommend more than two debates and for excitement purposes, a very large venue, although Biden is supposedly afraid of crowds, that’s only because he doesn’t get them. Just tell me when, I’ll be there. Let’s get ready to rumble!!!”
The Stakes
Trump is quoted as saying “I am ready and willing to debate crooked Joe at the two proposed times in June and September, “ Trump posted. I would strongly recommend more than two debates and for excitement purposes, a very large venue, although Biden is supposedly afraid of crowds, that’s only because he doesn’t get them. Just tell me when, I’ll be there. Let’s get ready to rumble!!!“
it will be interesting to see whether the moderators will allow for complete discourse by a left-wing moderator with an ax to grind against Trump. Many people believe that Biden‘s presidency is a fraud, that he is not the individual making decisions. This would be an ideal time to expose that if it’s true for the betterment of the US people. it would be best if there were no limitations, as this is more of a real-world experience with no limitations.
