Since starting my business as a virtual assistant, I've undergone a transformative journey that has led me to discover my true passion and purpose as an Online Business Manager (OBM). Finding My Path:

Like many aspiring entrepreneurs, I always had a desire to work for myself and run my own business. However, it wasn't until last year that I had a significant realization about utilizing my administrative skills to establish a business. That's when I stumbled upon the concept of a Virtual Assistant (VA), a role that immediately sparked my interest. With two clients under my belt, I made the bold decision to leave my employed position and embark on the adventure of entrepreneurship.

Discovering the OBM World:

Just as I was gaining confidence in my VA business, fate intervened in the form of a lovely lady named Amanda, who introduced me to the Thrive OBM Academy. At that time, I had never heard of an Online Business Manager (OBM), but Amanda's messages piqued my curiosity. Though initially uncertain about my qualifications, I decided to join her three-day Facebook Live event, despite my skepticism about courses and their promises.

A Life-Changing Revelation:

During those Facebook Live sessions, I was absolutely blown away by the scope of an OBM's responsibilities and the earning potential that came with it. It suddenly became clear to me that I had the power to create my own world by becoming an OBM and earning significantly more. Although the decision to invest in another course brought its fair share of doubts and concerns, I had a call with Amanda to ensure that the outcomes would genuinely benefit my work life and financial situation. The calling to become an OBM was strong, and I decided to take the risk.

Following my conversation with Amanda, I felt a renewed sense of purpose and enrolled in the five-month OBM course. Even with lingering worries and questions, I knew deep down that I needed to improve my circumstances and create the life I believed I deserved.

The Road to Certification:

As I write this blog post in July 2023, I'm thrilled to share that I've successfully completed the OBM course and I'm about to be certified as an OBM. This transformative journey has completely shifted my perspective on business and provided me with a clear understanding of my ideal clients and how I can grow alongside my newfound qualifications.

The Power of Mentorship:

Throughout the course, I had the privilege of working with an amazing mentor who supported me and my fellow attendees every step of the way. This mentor continues to guide and assist us until we secure our first clients. The guidance and support have been instrumental in my growth as an OBM.

Embracing Freedom and Success:

Becoming an OBM has granted me the freedom to work with businesses generating six-figure profits, enabling them to afford the fees I charge. This newfound flexibility has allowed me to have more quality time with my family and focus on other aspirations within my business, such as collaborating with like-minded women and creating opportunities for collaboration.

Pioneering the OBM Field:

While the concept of an OBM is still relatively new in the UK, it has already made significant waves in the USA. This presents a unique opportunity for me to establish myself as a prominent OBM in the UK and contribute to the growth and success of online (and brick and mortar) businesses. Managing businesses in the online realm offers a level of professionalism, reduced competition, and empowerment for individuals to take control of their own destiny.
