Follow my 3 top tips to declutter your stuff

Do you own too much stuff?
Three years ago we downsized from a 6 bed family home to our motorhome and I had to clear an awful lot of clutter.
Stuff from 20 years of bringing up our family.
Stuff that didn’t serve the life I was about to embark on.
So what did I do with it all?
I asked my children if they would like any of it for their new homes. The white goods, washing machine, cooker and dish washer were the first to go. Then the furniture, kitchen appliances and cookware. Mat wanted the pint jug I used to make the gravy in because of the memories that had for him.
The Pampered Chef stoneware that I struggled to be parted from because of the memories cooking for my family that had all grown up and gone.
I got very good at selling and sold a lot of stuff. Facebook market place and Vinted became my friend.
I donated a lot too. The 12 place dining table went to a charity shop on Bath Road and got snapped up within a week.
I hope they are having awesome family meals all sitting up to that table. Or playing Risk. That table was awesome for board games.
I hired a skip for the rest. I had accumulated a lot of trash hoping I could one day turn it into something useful. That one day never came.
As Pete kept reminding me…. this house is selling and all this has to go! It's not going to fit in an 8.21m space.
It’s surprising how much stuff you can declutter with giving away, selling and donating it.
