This time of year is difficult for me

The reason why this time of year is difficult and what you can do to stop yourself going through a tough time like me

This time of the year is a tough but I suppose a good reminder too.

On the 8th June 2016 I went to North Manchester hospital to have a huge (but according to the GP nothing sinister) lump on my left breast.

2 days later on the 10th I got the shattering news that I had breast cancer and would need all the treatment thrown at me. The oncologist said wave goodbye to the next year of a normal life as it would be anything but.

I have to admit I never checked mine regularly but as got mine checked as soon as I could meant that the treatment I had saved me though it was close to been different due to a delay getting appointment with the GP to start with.

I beg anyone to please check once a month around the time after your cycle and also make sure your family and friends also check because early diagnosis is the key. If you find anything that is not normal for you please please get it checked at the soonest you can.

I finally got the 2nd mastectomy in November on the other side due to issues getting the reconstruction and for my own mental health and wellbeing and I want to stop as many women as I can going through the same.

Yes I am here and I am lucky but life for me it is different and always will be so please be vigilant and make sure all the women and men you know are too.

If anyone wants to chat about anything or know more please feel free to inbox me as I am always around and please don't forget to send your bras to me or at the Bravoo Tribe if having a clear out.

Thank you if you finished reading leave a comment or emoji just so I can see how many have actually took the time to read and be made aware :)
