British Author Clare Dugmore shares updates on her writing journey, including the Triquetra series, Kindred Book Club, and her values-driven approach to storytelling, creativity, and community. Join her in celebrating love, indie authors, and purposeful fiction.

You might’ve noticed some visual and thematic changes across my platforms lately—new banner, new vibe, and maybe a slightly different energy around how I talk about my books.

It’s not a rebrand so much as a return to myself.

Since publishing The Starlight Prince—which I’m still immensely proud of, especially as it came during my ADHD/autism diagnosis—I’ve felt the pull to write stories that dig a little deeper. Stories rooted in justice, empathy, and love (with a side of magic, of course).

That’s why I’m diving headfirst into my Triquetra series, a fantasy tale about witch triplets that asks big questions through a magical lens. I’ve written 60k words already, and I’m working on a prequel novella for the Within The Woods anthology (coming October 14, 2025!).

I’m taking my time with this one. I want to polish it, beta it, edit it—and send it for trade reviews. No rushing. No burnout. Just thoughtful storytelling.

  •  But that’s not all that’s new!

Back in February, I launched The Kindred Book Club, a values-led bookish community for indie authors and readers who want to make a difference. We spotlight creatives, share serialized stories, and host charity fundraisers.

Starting this June, we’ll be kicking things off with Reading With Pride — an LGBTQIA+ indie spotlight and a raffle to raise funds for Stonewall.

The Kindred Book Club is now free to join on Discord. It’s a cozy space to talk books, share ideas, and uplift each other. Perks might come later—but the heart will always be community-first.

  • And finally, a personal note…

I’ve started talking more openly about my faith—something I kept quiet about for a long time. As a queer, neurodivergent woman with a witchy aesthetic, I never felt like I “fit” the mold of a Christian. But faith isn’t about molds. It’s about love.

So while I won’t use this space to debate theology, I will say this: Love is my compass. Love for people. Love for the planet. Love for the stories we tell.

If you feel the same, you’ll fit right in around here.

Thanks for reading. I’m off to finish prepping Reading With Pride, but I’ll be back later this month with a post about why LGBTQIA+ representation in fiction matters so much.

Until next time—
Be kind. Stay creative.
Clare
