Sat waiting on the ferry to go from Gozo to Valletta. 

It's January 2nd 2024 and Inam wearing summer clothes. It's 18oC and I have not a care in the world right now. 

All the guilt and anxiety of whether we should have come left back in the UK safely with the rain and the car. 

In December last year my husband started tests for the dreaded C 

On the same day two of his clients dumped him and through us into turmoil for about 24 hours. 

You see many years before we both lost our jobs  and i soent time creating a massive budgeting plan, which we have stuck to ever since. So after a few phone calls to the relevant people bill dates were moved. 

Many people think budgeting is about losing things but getting things sorted means that when the worst happens you know you can cope with it. 

So as we sail around the Maltese Islands in the bright sunshine in January, I know that everything is okay.
