Self-care with a newborn definitely looks different..

Self-care with a newborn definitely looks different, but it’s been key to bringing our rainbow baby into our world with such love and connection.

In the little newborn bubble self-care looks perhaps different than before.

But more important than ever, knowing my mood affects the whole vibration of the house, especially our little baby.  And I want our home to feel magical.

Its something I didn’t consciously do until my life was saved after an ectopic pregnancy where I was jolted into a very different headspace. I wanted my kids to see the glint in my eyes again and feel my love as I was healing and through a fertility journey which I didn’t know lay ahead.

I had to start ‘being ok’ with letting some jobs sit, while I would find balance and do anything simple that felt good.  I was introduced to practising gratitude. Sometimes hiding in the school carpark or sitting outside with my coloured pens and notebook for fear my husband would think I was crazy!

But this led into deeper journaling of what I was going through, or day-dreaming of our future. And from not knowing what meditation was to doing little meditations with my kids. Very different from previous perfectionism I take the pressure off myself and do what feels right for us.

I still pinch myself that we brought our precious miracle into our world and so grateful to have found ways to help have a beautiful pregnancy, and to navigate the newborn chaos but embrace the wonder of mamahood.

For me, as a woman and a Mama it is so important to be able to

..help find ways to connect to that magic in you, find the calm, or strength and manage your vibration as you navigate everything in mamahood

..help you remember the infinite connection with your little one, to see the wonder in them and help them see the magic and glint in your eyes..

..to help you to listen to your inner voice, nourishing yourself from the inside out.

..to become more consciously aware of what makes you you, what makes you tick, how you talk to yourself and view yourself

..to remember how important you are, as the heart and soul of your family and to manage your vibration for you and those you love.

And when the day or the nights or the moments are tough to help find the strength and the love to get you through, know your values and be able to connect back to those.

I am so grateful to have found the practices and love to help me do these things, and feel so blessed to be able to now share these with other Mamas through my online Intuitive Mamas Collevtive

A beautiful, reflective post❤️Isn’t it incredible how many things, our vision and our approach can evolve in motherhood land🤭.. Letting go off things, particularly ‘perfection’🙈 can be so healing. #mibvisible

Self-care as a new mum was so challenging! I would definitely do it differently second time around.
