The 5 things you're missing that could be stopping your business growth

Growing your business takes time and money and few of us have much of either to spare. Here are five things that you might be missing which can really make a difference to your growth

1. Following up after networking

Make a note of people you are genuinely interested in and follow up with them after the event.  Don't be spammy and try to sell to them (unless they asked you to) but let them know that you're interested in hearing more about what they do. Connect on social media, such as LinkedIn or Facebook.  Share your business cards too.

2. Making your social media trail easy

We all do it.  When our business changes often our social media links don't change with it, or we only change half of them. Check to see that what's out there actually reflects what you do. Clean up what no longer applies and make it easy for people to find your current business page or group when they remember you by name.

3. Offering a reason to keep in touch

Do you have useful information that would help your ideal client? Perhaps a recorded masterclass or pdf workbook?  Offering a useful download in return for an email can help you keep in contact and can be very simple to create. Share a link on your social media profiles and when you're networking. Not everyone is an avid social media user.

4. Asking for feedback

You know you give good service, your customers are happy, but where's the proof?  Creating a simple feedback form helps you improve your service and gather comments from your clients to use on your website and social media. You can incorporate the essence of these into your business introductions too.

5. No clear introduction for your business

At nearly every networking meeting someone tells me that people completely misunderstand what they do, based on their own introduction. Over emphasis on company names, job titles, and corporate speak sometimes leave ideal clients excluding themselves from the conversation before it's begun. Finding the right way to introduce yourself is essential if you're gong to connect with the right people, if you don't you are literally turning money down.

If you're looking to revamp your networking introdution you can schedule an Elevate my Elevator session direct from my website https://softlyinspired.co.uk/elevator/

Sessions booked and paid for in July will also include a FREE networking contacts tracker which you can use to track by person or event.
