My name is Edwin kipkurui cheruiyot I am the 5th born child of eight children of Rosemary langat and Philip Ngeno I was born 16th may and started my studies at Kedowa primary school and It have not been easy 

The main problem was what to eat since  some time  we could  sleep empty stomach we had no one to blame as my father was doing manual jobs and my mother was washing peoples clothes and doing all house hold chores in order to be given food which could sustein us although sometimes they failed to get the same jobs hence they ended up coming empty handed 

This problems made us to think of what to do in order to  servive we started going for the charcoal from forest in which we search for charcoal that remained after those who burn it removed them we could selling them at a through away price in order to be bought for us to buy food 

Although the journey to forest was great risk and tiresome since if police would have found us they would cane us and again it was a long journey of 20 km to and 20 km back  we used the money from charcoal to buy food and sometimes pay for our exams as we were in public schools which required little money which was very much to us.......  to be continued
