The Mindset Shift from self employed to business woman 

When you first start out as a self employed person, it can be easy to think of yourself as just a freelancer or contractor. You're not really a business owner.......right?? You just do your own thing and get paid for your work.

The truth is that self employment is a form of business ownership. You are the CEO of your own company, even if it is just you. That means that there needs to be a certain mind shift in order to be more successful. 

One of the biggest challenges of self emplyment is learning to think like a business woman. This is something that I have had to do and take ownership of my work, marketing my services by telling everyone that I have a business, and managing my finances. It also means being proactive and taking risks. 

If you have been used to working for somebody else this can be a huge adjustment to make. However, it is essential if you want to be successful in self employement. 

Here are a few tips to help you make the mindset shift from self employed to realising you are a business woman:-

1. See yourself as a business owner - hugely important and means taking responsibility for your own success and maybe your failures as well. It also means thinking about your business in the long term and not just the short term. To plan ahead.
2. Market your services - Don't expect people just to stumble across you. You need to put yourslef our there and let people know what you do. 
3. Manage your finances - This is essential for any business but is hugley important for self employed people. Make sure you are tracking your income and expenses so you know where your money is going. 
4. Be proactive - Don't wait for things to happen. Take the initiative and get what you want#
5. Take risks - There will always be risks involved in business but you can't let that stop you from taking action. If you want to be successful then you need to be willing to take some risks. 

Making the mindset shift from self employed to business woman is not easy. However, it is essential if you want to be successful in self employement. So don't be afraid to embrace your inner business woman and go out and conquer the world!
