The Power of Collaboration

Joining forces with groups of amazing women was something I used to shy away from, but I am glad to say not anymore. Read on to hear why.....

There is something powerful about amazing, strong and talented women, uniting and coming together, yet collaboration is something a lot of people fear. Whether it be through jealousy, concerns about their work being undermined, stolen, or the fact that a lot of people think because of past experiences, they don’t like women.

Well firstly let me say that just because you have had one, maybe a few bad experiences, doesn’t mean everyone is like that and secondly if you have any of the other fears, I highly recommend you investigate where they are coming from and work through them.

And this is because you could be missing out. The saying it takes a village isn’t just reserved to raising children, it can also be applied to everyday life, including business. There’s a special kind of magic created when a community of support and knowledge is formed.

I was introduced to the Mums/Moms in Business International group, founded by Leona Burton a few years back now and I will be honest, I was initially reserved about joining such a large community of women, but very quickly I realised that I didn’t have anything to worry about. Everyone was lovely, very supportive and it was totally not the catty bitch-fest I had imagined it to be.

It is from being part of that community that has given me the confidence to push myself out of my comfort zone. It has also opened up opportunities for me, including Leona’s Mindset Mastery retreat where I went on to put the plans into place to create my very own day retreat. And not only that, but I have also actually collaborated with 4 other members of the community to help me make the day even more magical!

So I am excited to share that Self Love Saturday will be taking place on 20th July 2024, starting at 10am and finishing at 4pm. There will be a journalling and affirmation workshop, held by the wonderful Wendy Pullen, a relaxing Yin Yoga session ran by the lovely Gurpreet Bhambra, a Rose Reiki healing session held by myself and then we pause for a yummy vegetarian lunch. After that, the awesome Nicola Noel will be holding an empowerment talk, followed by the incredible Kelisha Taylor with a sound healing meditation, before I wrap up the day.

This wouldn’t have been possible without the power of collaboration. I of course could have run the day myself in my own way, but it wouldn’t have the same spark it has now. I am so excited to share this with people. If you fancy coming along, the energy exchange is only £111 and that includes all activities, lunch and a take home gift bag full of goodies.

Check out www.mindovermama.co.uk/selflovesaturday for more information. Payment plans can be arranged, just pop me a message.

Thanks for reading and don’t forget that there is nothing to fear in collaboration!
