Hey to all of you MIBers already in our Mums in Business Networking Community and welcome Newbies looking to make new connections, read on for more about our networking vibe.
Reflecting on May
Throughout May, more of our incredible members came together across the South, Scotland, and even sunny Gran Canaria to celebrate successes, share valuable insights, and forge meaningful connections. From eye-opening workshops to inspiring guest speakers, each event left a lasting impression on everyone who attended.
One event that truly made an impact was our gathering in MIB South Aberdeenshire and the Means, where members delved into the art of seizing business opportunities without the self-sabotage. Meanwhile, in MIB Hastings Eastbourne, our very own MIB Leader Jen Fisher led a dynamic session on Franchising versus Licensing and media for business growth, sparking lively discussions and valuable insights into common business challenges.
In MIB Newton Abbot and MIB Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole, members had the privilege of hearing from PR experts Natalie Trice and Emma Collins, respectively, gaining valuable knowledge and tips to elevate their businesses. And let's not forget our MIB Somerset and West Dorset group, who enjoyed a unique networking experience with some four-legged friends—because networking really can be a wild ride!
And hey, if you're planning a summer getaway down South, be sure to keep an eye out for upcoming meetings in these areas! All the details can be found on our website or in our bustling Facebook Group of over 68,000 members over here.
Highlighting Memorable Moments
One standout event from May was our gathering in MIB Bedford Milton Keynes, where our leader Stacey Brown celebrated her MIB Leader 1st Birthday in style. With Kiki Medelian of Liquid Lipo Ltd sharing her inspiring journey "from pain to power" and plenty of cake to go around, it was the perfect blend of inspiration and indulgence in our usual relaxed, child-friendly environment.
And of course, we can't forget the epic event in MIB Cambridge hosted by our very own Carol Sutton Houghton, who managed to secure none other than our MIB founder and CEO, Leona Burton as her Guest Speaker. Here's what some of our attendees had to say about the event:
- “Absolutely loved it! The best networking event I have attended in ages and Leona Burton's presentation was uplifting.”
- “Great meeting and lovely to be a part of so many ladies coming together to learn and grow their business. Lovely to say hi to people I now call friends and to chat with new people.”
- “It was fantastic meeting so many inspirational ladies. I jotted down some brilliant pointers for my business, so thank you all.”
These glowing reviews are a true testament to the supportive and empowering community we've built together!
