The Importance of Holding Space

What on earth is holding space I hear you say. Take a read as I share more...

When I first entered the holistic well-being world, I heard the phrase "holding space" quite a lot, but I wasn't sure what it fully meant. As I learned more and gained experience, I came to understand it deeply, especially when I allowed others to hold space for me and now I am so honoured that I get to hold space for others.

Holding space means giving you a time and place to express yourself freely, allowing you to feel and say whatever you need without any judgment. It means being fully present, offering you my undivided support and attention. It's about creating a safe environment where you can be your true self.

Holding space is more than just being there for someone; it's about creating a sanctuary where healing and growth can occur. When someone holds space for you, they provide a nurturing environment that promotes emotional and mental well-being. It allows individuals to release pent-up emotions and share their thoughts without fear of criticism or advice.

Feeling heard and understood validates one’s experiences and emotions and encourages self-acceptance and self-worth. It empowers individuals to explore their feelings and thoughts deeply, leading to personal insights and growth. Most importantly, it provides a non-judgmental and compassionate space, crucial for healing and personal development.

And that is exactly why I'm hosting the Self-Love Saturday day retreat.  Because I believe everyone deserves a dedicated space to reconnect with themselves, recharge, and rediscover their inner strength. Life can be overwhelming, especially for us mums, as we juggle multiple roles and responsibilities, often leaving little time for ourselves. This retreat is designed to provide you with that precious time to focus solely on you.

During the retreat, you'll experience a variety of activities aimed at boosting your self-love and well-being. You can look forward to journaling, a powerful tool to explore your thoughts and feelings, as well as yin yoga, with gentle exercises to connect your mind, body, and spirit. We will also practice Rose Reiki, a healing practice to balance your energy, and meditation, with techniques to calm your mind and find inner peace. You’ll also enjoy a delicious vegetarian lunch, providing your body with the nourishment it needs.

So why not join us on 20th July from 10 am to 4 pm at Fearon Hall in Loughborough, Leicestershire. For just £111, you'll gain valuable tools and experiences that you can take away and incorporate into your daily life. Plus, all attendees will receive a fabulous goody bag to continue your self-love journey at home.

If you’re ready to prioritise your well-being and invest in yourself, this retreat is for you. I want to create a space where you can thrive.
